The Style Issue

Style plays an important role in XML documents (as opposed to XML data)

An authoring environment should allow users to

• use different style sheets while editing documents
• edit and debug style sheets

With CSS, the issue is not syntax, but the complexity of

• style inheritance
• cascading of multiple style sheets
• modules and inclusion
